Capacity about 12 million bushels. prices at cost plus erection and painting, 1600 to 2800 bushels priced 16 to 19 cents per bushel. Buyers may pay cash or note due Dec 31 1944. bins movable or keepable at away sites until Aug 1 1945. Grain stored earns AAA loans. steel bins remain unavailable.

Former Diller Boy Returns From Panama Canal Zone
Ouka Franzen and his stepson Sgt Allen Nelson visited friends in Diller on Tuesday. Nelson serves in the Army Air Corps Medical Dept and spent three years at the Panama Canal Zone. He will be transferred to Patterson Field in Dayton Ohio for new duties and is staying with his parrots in Steele City this week.

Navy Seabees officer to visit Fairbury for reenlistment calls

Gretchen Wohlfarth born November 11 1892 in Ottawa Ohio died July 10 1943 at Odell hospital aged 50 years 7 months 29 days after major surgery. A longtime Diller resident she served as Assistant Postmaster bookkeeper cashier and postmaster and held roles with the Diller Telephone Company and Public Library. She leaves her mother Dora Wohlfarth sister Lillian Ellis brother in law Dr Cecil Ellis nephew Roger Ellis and many relatives and friends. Services were held at Wagone r Bros Funeral Home and Congregational church with interment in Prairie Home cemetery.
