High Lights of 45th Annual Diller Picnic
The two day Diller Picnic on August 5 features afternoon band concerts home talent and free acts plus baseball bicycle races greased pig catching and old time contests. Evening programs include a pageant parade a whiskered Willie parade and Sunbonnet Sue revue with prizes and dancing. Sailor Roe Leaves Navy After Saratoga Duty
Out of the Navy Roe Sparks, whose enlistment expires July 5, was released from duty on the Saratoga two weeks ago. He did not wish to re enlist and the boat was sailing for Honolulu. He has entered a sheet metal work and riveting course. Roe and his wife reside in Compton between Long Beach and Los Angeles. Rex Green and family and Voiney Raymond and son return home from an 8000 mile motor trip across the southwest and north U.S. refreshed for more work.

Frank Fasnacht died at his Ellis home Wednesday evening around 7:00 after a year long illness. He grew to manhood near Diller. His body lies at Waggoner's Funeral Home with arrangements yet to be announced.
