Water Commissioner Greider reports four Diller meters froze during the cold spell. Meters cost about 13 dollars new and may fetch 18 to 20 on repair. wrapping meters with cloth suggested to prevent freezing. Temperatures Tuesday morning dropped to 18 to 21 degrees below zero.
Appointment of Miss F Louise Pool as assistant professor in mathematics at State Teachers college at Peru Neb has been announced by President W R Pate. She started Jan 18 after release from Sheldon Ia junior college.
High school normal training students will take teachers exams Saturday January 28 at Fairbury High School Library and Diller High School. Exams start 8:00 a m and run until 1:00 p m. County board names Dr R P Luce county physician for 1943 with Dr D O Hughes Dr J Harold Lynch and Dr Kantor of Fairbury on the medical board.
