Mr Lynn Waggoner and Miss June Smallwood arrived from Worthington Minnesota for a few days with the Waggoner family. They reported bad driving weather due to fog and sleet and used a small electric fan to keep the windshield ice free. They plan to return to Minnesota early next week where Lynn works at his uncle Habicht’s store.

Clarks Store Robbed of 300 In Merchandise
Thieves broke a rear window at Clarks Store and loaded a light truck with about 800 in items. Sheriff deputy Davidson collected fingerprints while no trace of the robbers or goods has been found. Items taken included dresses, stockings, cosmetics, apparel, shirts, overalls, jackets, underwear, belts, and tobacco products.

Chas Hinds a former Odell banker was arrested in Odell by a U S marshal and brought to Lincoln on charges of using the mails to defraud. He allegedly mailed 2150 in bonds from Beatrice to San Antonio on November 19 1934 tied to a bank robbery. Bonds included Pure Oil federal farm mortgage bonds and a libert y loan bond.
