The robins, harbingers of an early spring, have been with us for more than a week. A daughter was born Feb 8 to Mr and Mrs Adam Gretzinger near Steele City. Remember B F Henrichs sale Wednesday Feb 26 for good sound young horses and brood sows.
Billie Tristman and her son Arlie visited Chester to spend a day or two with his brother Clint and family. Grace Novak, attending her mother T E Bond’s funeral, left Shea for home in Chelsea Iowa.

Asa and Allen Colman received a telegram early this week announcing the death of their youngest brother Arthur Colman in Pueblo Colorado. He was about 70, a carpenter by trade and formerly resided in Diller.

One black purebred Percheron stallion two years old weighing 1300 pounds was advertised. A. B. Steffen of Diller and the 21 W. A. Cherry public sale in Diller was postponed to next Tuesday February 25 due to a snow storm. Farmers unions met in Diller and formed the Farmers Union Co operative Store and plan to buy the opera house for $8000.

Mrs Effie McManes born May 29 1850 in Page County Ohio moved with her husband to Diller Nebraska years ago. She died in this city at her daughter Mrs Ed Ogden's home leaving four daughters and one son. Brief services were held at the Ogden residence conducted by State Evangelist Beem and the remains were taken to Sidney for burial.
