Mrs McManes Dies. Burial Planned in Sidney

Mrs Elias Hadley and Mrs John Pulee were summoned to Wymore Wednesday due to the death of Mrs McManes at her daughter Mrs Ed Ogden’s home. Remains were taken to Sidney for burial beside her husband F M McManes, who died last May. The McManes once lived in Diller.

Mrs T F E Bond died last Friday after a stroke at her daughter’s home near Shea. Burial was in Prairie Home cemetery after services at the Holland home conducted by Rev H W Wagner. Relatives from Spokane Washington Chelsea Iowa and Billings Montana attended.

Harbine residents attend the funeral of Mrs. Martha Sparks in Ellis. Mr and Mrs Henry Weaver and Mrs Harlen Weaver and daughter Rachel present. Navy death notice for Frank Campbell, born 1892 near Harbine, died 1919 in Virginia. Funeral held at Baptist church with interment north of town. Community notes include school attendance awards, a box supper planned for Feb 21, and recent moves of C E Campbell family to Southern Texas.

Death of Lila J Miller at 16 in 1919 Nebraska

Miss Lila Jaunita Miller died February 4 1919 aged 16 years 9 months 22 days after appendicitis and bronchial pneumonia. She lived in Diller Hemingford and Steele City Nebraska and Sabetha Kansas. Funeral at M E church Steele City led by Rev Priestly. Burial in Steele City cemetery. Left parents two sisters near Diller and one sister a teacher.

Church notes say services will be held next Sunday despite illness concerns. The February meeting of the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society is postponed due to sickness.
