The preacher claimed innocence and said Providence afflicted the choir with colds so the congregation should sing a hymn together. He chose Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow. Most of the choir were enraged and talked of resigning.

The estate of Josie Welsh sues for 5000 dollars over a gasoline can sale by Julius Neumar Co of Wymore. The can allegedly contained coal oil and exploded, badly burning Welsh. The defendant firm is a longstanding local business in southern Gage county.

On Friday afternoon February 24 at 3 o clock the high school will present a school work program in the high school room. Tenth grade members aiming to finish the course will deliver short original orations on United States history with others aiding in recitation and song.
