Reunion of Carmichael Families Honors Departed
Families of Joseph and Finnley Carmichael held a reunion at Diller park last Sunday. A business session, picnic dinner, ice cream and cake followed, then visits to Diller cemetery. Attendees included Charley Boorman and Pearl Carmichael, several Carmichael relatives across multiple states, and local friends.

Obituary Sieboldt Johnson and Diller Picnic Notes
Obituary Sieboldt Johnson, senior son of Bernard and Rennard, born in Germany March 5, came to America in 1871, lived in Peoria and Plattsmouth before moving to Diller then Fairbury where he died August 11, 1948. Survived by brothers Theodore Ben Rudolph and a niece in Fairbury. Funeral at Waggoner with Rev. Moehring. burial in Diller cemetery. Picnic activities include Whisker Willies vs Memphis Black Cats at Diller park and a lengthy parade lineup with community groups and bands.
