Severe hail storm damages farms from York to near Bartiston

A severe hail storm swept a country strip from York Nebraska to the state line near Bartiston on Wednesday afternoon, causing thousands of dollars in damage to Atab and growing corn fields. Windows were shattered and roofs punctured across numerous farms. Five miles north of Diller a house lost forty window lights on three sides. The storm spanned eight to ten miles, snapping telephone poles and severing communications.
