Pioneer track meet takes place after postponement

Bill Leask County YMCA secretary attended the Pioneer track meet at the park on Tuesday afternoon. Competitors included Endicott Reynolds Plymouth Steele City and Diller. The event was postponed from last Saturday due to bad weather.

Obituary for Benjamin Clausson of Diller Nebraska

Benjamin Clausson son of H J and Minnie Clausson was born June 4 1875 in Peoria Illinois and died April 26 1937 at 61 years 10 months and 22 days from a heart attack. He moved with family to Nebraska in 1880 and lived near Diller later moving to Rock Creek then Diller. Survived by two sisters Minnie Clausson of Diller and Mrs Bruce McCreight of Fairbury one brother John Clausson of Diller one niece and three nephews. parents and one sister Hannah predeceased him. Funeral April 28 1987 at Waggoner's Funeral Home with Reverend Wolff officiating. Interment Prairie Home Cemetery. Mrs S B Viers entertained the N C S A club at her home on Wednesday April 21. In the absence of the president the vice president Mrs Fry presided. Miss Gretchen Wohlfarth was initiated into the club and prizes were awarded to Mrs Fee Mrs Cecil Ellis and Mrs A A Eick. A day at the circus entertainment and a later saffron fruit service followed.
