Supt Nelson and his wife visited Beatrice on Saturday. Miss Evelyn Elway of Meade Nebraska is visiting Miss Eleanor Diehl. Carl Franzen is tearing down his old barn to construct a workshop or garage from the site.

He starts at 175 dollars a month with potential to reach 3000 yearly. his shift runs 12 midnight to 8 A M, described as the graveyard hours.
R. L. Oaks undertakes a roofing project on multiple houses at the farm location, aiming to update the dwellings with new coverings and improve property upkeep.
An extensive program at the Fairbury county fair grounds will add a half mile horse race track with a quarter mile cinder track for high school events. A football field and baseball diamond will be laid out, shifting the creek to enlarge the site, with the four groups county authorities Fairbury schools and the Chamber of Commerce collaborating to create an athletic field rivaling any in the state.
Mrs Esther Bugbee 26 wife of Donald Bugbee died Thursday in Odell hospital after infection following birth of a child. Services were Sunday at 1 30 from her parents home near Plymouth and 2 30 at Steele City Presbyterian Church. Burial in Steele City cemetery. Survived by husband and a small daughter.
