The county commissioners will meet again on April 7. The Hullman family reports their younger daughter remains on the sick list. Mrs. Donald Bugbee has become very ill and was taken to Odell hospital earlier this week.
Miss Margaret Green, a Fremont schools teacher, is spending part of her spring vacation with relatives in Diller.
Mr and Mrs Clyde Thaber of north of Diller spent the past week in Kansas City visiting friends and sightseeing.
Mrs. V. A. Raymond and Donna Jane along with Dickie of Lincoln visit this week with Diller relatives and friends in the area.

Mr. Fred Loock, who attended the funeral of his cousin Miss Charlotte Loock, traveled home Friday by the Burlington to Peoria Illinois.
Mr and Mrs Calvin A Steele of Fairbury visited the manse with Rev and Mrs Ludwick. Steele has the contract to build the No 3 highway bridge near Beatrice. Robert Lee son of Mr and Mrs Fred Nelson of Ellis was severely burned by concentrated lye but a physician soon brought him to safety. Fairbury will host the seventh annual conference of the First district Nebraska Parent Teacher Association with speakers including Mrs Paul Bradley and Mrs C E Kendel.
Among those from out of town in attendance at the funeral last week were Mr. and Mrs. George Mayborn Me ber pa Charley Packer Jack Clancy Jaser hood Charley Hood of dent and Mrs. Harry es et felton Mr. Foster a nice Creekmur and Mrs B Diller of Fairbury.
H H Green made a business trip to Blue Springs Tuesday. Miss Alice Line, a Beatrice schools teacher, is spending part of the spring vacation with relatives in Omaha.

The Ladies Aid hosts a food sale at the Farmers Store and the Cash Store in Lanham next Saturday in the forenoon. Drop in for Easter good eats and supplies.
On March 30 a pleasant evening was spent at Miss Emma Glathar’s home with a 6 o'clock supper. Emma is described as a fire cook and all diners were praised. Attendees included Mr. and Mrs. Tom Harris of Mansville Wyoming Mr. and Mrs. E L Leek and granddaughter Lois Henrichs and Mr. and Mrs. Isaac Saylor. They remained until 9:90 and reported a fine time.
A resident addresses Dear Brother Ike about a town vote on raising funds to add a school due to crowding and outdated equipment. The letter laments the impact on the elderly, questions the need for upgrades, and notes that the proposal was defeated amid concern for saving money.
Rolf Beckman began painting Mr. E. L. Loock's residence with two coats of white paint. H H Green and Frank Johnson and families attended the funeral of John Maw at Blue Springs on Thursday.
Ralph Maw and his wife from Neligh Nebraska came Wednesday to attend the funeral of his brother John in Blue Springs on Thursday.
Mr and Mrs Homer Brunk and Mr and Mrs Willis Clark and Lynn Rose were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr and Mrs A A Eick.
Henry Frisbie moves his restaurant back to the R. W. Green building beside the post office. The thoroughly renovated and repainted space now presents a neat appearance after the recent fire.
April 8 gathering hosted by Mrs Foots with assistants Mrs Herman Albers and Mrs A C Richardson led by Mrs D V Fanders. Roll call on how schools might be improved and discuss small deeds building a strong foundation of labor.
Charlotte M Loock daughter of Lpeee L and Helen C was born in Diller Nebraska and died March 1981 in Iller. She attended public school in Diller, studied at Nebraska Wesleyan University, then Slippery Rock College and worked with her father in a large merchandise store. She was active in the Me Church and W F M S, a leader teacher treasurer and secretary.
The obituary honors a devout woman, Martha Loock, noting her service to others and her peaceful death. Survivors include her parents Mr. and Mrs. Edward L. Loock, sister Gertrude Henrichs, four nieces, and many friends. Funeral services were conducted at the Diller Methodist church by Rev. Velte and colleagues. Two Daykin bank robbers, Eldon Wicks and Harvey Vernon, pled guilty in Fairbury district court to a ten year term. Wicks was wounded during the incident. Harry Leland remains at large.

Pupils of Dist 64 and teacher Evelyn Brunk were surprised when board members and families arrived through a snowstorm Friday noon. Guests brought snacks and refreshments were served as games were played. Patrons listed include L Caldwell, Geo, Pete Ratzloff family, Jake Ratzloff family, Chris Maichew Harris, G M Doerksen, Paul, Henry Wechsels, J een, Henry Fai and son.
