The Federated church ladies announce an Easter supper and Bazaar at City Hall on Saturday evening April 10. Miss L. O. Ballard, a Burlington passenger, traveled to Omaha Wednesday to visit relatives and buy new goods for her store, with Miss Flora Warthen handling the store during Ballard’s absence.
Lloyd Hughes and family of Omaha Cleve Hiatt and family of Hebron and Wilber Hiatt and family of Reynolds were Easter Sunday guests of their parents and grandparents Mr and Mrs J L Hughes.
The annual meeting to elect library officers will be held in the Library room next Monday April 12 at 8 PM. Treasurer Secretary and Librarian reports will be given. Members and others interested are urged to attend.

Mr and Mrs Frank Tincher and Mr and Mrs O F Rigdon of Fairbury visited their nephew Donald Tincher and family Sunday evening. Miss Ethel Mae Woods teaching in Fairbury spent weekend at home with her parents Mr and Mrs Wm Woods in Lincoln Saturday.
Notice warns residents that chickens trespassing on neighbors’ property violate city ordinance. Village of Diller will no longer tolerate garden spoilage and demands compliance by all citizens. By order of the Village Board. Chas E Waggoner Village Clerk.
Friends of Rev Iva Innis former Diller M E church pastor now in Eagle Nebraska seek to persuade her to run in the first district on the Democratic ticket against Congressman Morehead. Innis is an ordained minister, vice president of Nebraska W C T U and active in social work with wide acquaintances.
Local notice states J W Fouts offers a few hundred bushels of good seed oats for sale and notes Mrs. Fred Henrichs has been down with the flu this week.
Due to a conflicting meet, the annual election of library officers will be held April 12 instead of April 5.
Herman Peters moved first of the week into the Anderson property he recently purchased which was vacated by H. Cully last week.
The bank statements published elsewhere in this issue of the Record show both these Diller institutions to be in a flourishing condition.
August Engelman of Beatrice formerly from the Diller area attended the funeral of his brother Rev. Geo Engelman who died Tuesday night in Napoleon, C.
Harold Hutchinson left his parents Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Hutchinson and returned Sunday evening by car to Lincoln where he holds a good job.
Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Cully and daughter Grace traveled from Beatrice on Saturday evening to visit Mrs. M. E. Geer, who has been very ill with the flu but has improved considerably since.
The Womans Club gathers today at 2 30 P M in Fairbury Christian church with speakers and special music. Dyle Hood returns to Lincoln after Easter vacation visiting his father J C Hood. Hood attends State University.

Cornbelt Lumber Co announces a carload of Colorado washed out coal arriving in a few days. Manager Roy Geer says the coal is excellent for cookstoves and urges customers to plan ahead.
Adelia Hays visited Easter with her parents the Hays family. The Keyston Kensington FSS mother’s class met with Mrs. Willis Clark. activities included a talk on The Great White Prophet, a musical game, and a spelling bee. Refreshments were provided by a hostess committee. Beulah Thompson visited Easter with her parents in Dorchester. Jeff E. Day moved to town with his family and started work on the Burlington. Lydia Drullinger and sister suffered influenza. Mrs. Ludwick’s daughter cared for them.
Barred Rock eggs for sale by Mrs A J Hutchinson at 50 cents per setting or 300 dollars per 100 eggs. Eggs suitable for incubation and eating. Tendered offers to purchase can be arranged by interested buyers.
Clark's Cash Produce Market lists hens 23c, springs 20c, roosters 10c, eggs 24c, cream 33c with open Wednesday evening at Senior Bidg. Wilson Brandt left Tuesday with car load of personal effects for North Platte where he has a season job on a large ranch. Mr and Mrs C E Carr were called from Fairbuay by his mother's illness, now resting comfortably.
Mrs. Matilda Hauver thanks neighbors and friends for kindness shown on her birthday and for the beautiful flowers from the Degree of Honor.
The Wright and Brandt families express gratitude to friends and neighbors for support during the illness and death of their brother Fred Foltz. They acknowledge floral offerings, carriages, and the singers.
The Diller village election produced one ticket for village trustees and all regular nominees elected. Seventy seven ballots were cast with Moser 61 Cavett 61 Clark 56 for three year terms and Cully 45 for one year. For school trustees Diller 51 Shutt 55 Bell 31 Holle 11. Diller and Shutt elected for three years.
