Mr and Mrs Wm Behrends receive a card from their son Sgt Edward Behrends missing since last November. The note says he is a prisoner of war of the Germans at Stalag 12. Edward enlisted in 1942 and went overseas in March 1944 serving with the 859th Infantry.

County Assessor J Axtell says changes this year include two-call rule for precinct assessors and separate blank schedules for farmers and town residents.
