Dalton High School Class of 1913 Commencement Highlights
The class of 1913 formed Dalton High School's twentieth graduating group, ten members four girls six boys? actually eight girls two boys. The ceremony on Friday May 23 featured a WS. Randolph Walton Columpus gave the address with life of Napoleon as inspiration. Supt Longenecker announced departure from the district and board president Hunsicker awarded diplomas. Class colors were wisteria and white with a white rose as flower.

Resolutions of Respect for E A Breet of Arlington Lodge
The Arlington Lodge No. 778 I O O F adopts resolutions mourning the death of E A Breet a charter member in good standing. The charter is draped for 30 days the family is offered sympathy and a copy of resolutions is filed and published in the Dalton Gazette. The lodge did not take part in funeral services at the family’s request.

Death of Former Dalton Lady Passes at 65 in Minnesota
Mrs. Jennie Yergin Curry, 65, died Monday at her daughter Blanche Curry Est erly’s home in Minneapolis. Born in Dalton March 4, 1848, she was the daughter of Wm Yergin, long a Dalton mayor. Survived by two sons and two daughters, she will be sent to Wooster for interment. funeral services likely Thursday at son Charles Curry’s home.

Memorial Day Observances Planned at Dalton
Memorial Day events in Dalton begin at 1 30 standard time with the Colors Dalton Post No 618 G A R and a parade including regiments bands and local organizations marching to the cemetery. A memorial service features invocations by Rev J W Findlay Rev Hubbell and Rev Williams of Nashville and a series of songs addresses and a general invitation to join.

Students to visit Wooster Experiment Station
One hundred College of Agriculture students from Columbus will travel by special train to the Wooster Experiment Station on Friday June 6 for a day trip. Prof. A. G. McCall organized the educational expedition to study plots orchards and buildings and to demonstrate the station’s work to students.
