M L Hileman, long time blacksmith from this place, died at his Canton home at about 59 from a complication of diseases. He belonged to the Dalton Odd Bellows Lodge and is survived by a wife and brother A I Hileman of Geneva Ohio along with many relatives. Funeral services were held at the Dalton Presbyterian church Monday afternoon with Rev Welsheimer of Canton officiating.

Bank Robbers Attempt to Blow Safe in Sharon Center
Robbers tried to blow the safe at Sharon Center Banking Co near Medina on Friday night. They tampered with the time lock and safe combination and exploded one nitroglycerin charge. The blast went unheard and the attempt remained undiscovered until morning. A neighbor was awakened and investigators believe a getaway car or direction may have left the scene.
