Dalton Band Plans Saturday Concert at 8 15

The Dalton ILth Reg t Band will perform in the band stand Saturday night at 8 15. Garden Club members held a banquet in Smithville Inn and attended the Garden Show there and another group went only to the show. Homecoming and Bible School plans are announced for June and July with picnics and community events in Orrville and Pleasant View area.

Farm Bureau Council S. E. Meeting at Buchwalters

Mr and Mrs Carl Buchwalter hosted Farm Bureau Council S E on Wednesday evening June 18. Vice president Carl led the roll call and minutes, with the next meeting set for July 16 at Mr and Mrs Ralph Marthy. Guy Snyder led the radio discussion. cake and ice cream celebrated Katie Buchwalter’s eighth birthday.

Methodists Elect Sunday School Officers for July

The Methodist Sunday school elects officers to begin duties on July 6. Dale Steiner becomes superintendent with Ernest Dodez as assistant. Donald Lastzenheiser serves as secretary and Norman Berg as treasurer. Mrs. Robert Mumaw leads the children’s division with Mrs. Rewben Steiner as cradle roll supt and Edna Camp as home dept. supt. Katherine Blethyn is pianist with Miss Nancy Warnock as assistant and Ernest Dodez as chorister.

Dalton High School Band to rehearse at the high school

A local note reports the Dalton High School Band will rehearse Thursday evening at Dalton High School with Victor Gerber directing. Nearby, families, friends, and neighbors share news of visits, travels, and celebrations including weddings, birthdays, and trips to Michigan and Washington state.

Slusser Guests Attend Canal Fulton Garden Club Tea

Mrs E L Slusser and Mrs Laura Slusser visited Canal Fulton on Tuesday as invited guests at a tea hosted by the Canal Fulton Garden Club. Mr and Mrs C M Brown brought their daughter Beatrice to Akron City Hospital for observation on Monday. Her address is Room 6114 Akron City Hospital.

William Bartel 91 Died After Brief Illness At Home

William Bartel age 91 died at his East Greenville home after a brief illness. Born in Germany he immigrated to the United States at 16. He left two daughters Miss Alta May and Miss Clela Bartel and a sister Miss Richie Bartel of Orrville. Services were held Tuesday at 2 30 p.m. in the residence with burial at Dalton cemetery.

Health Chest Clinics Adopt Two Monthly Sessions

The Health Department announces a July schedule change for Chest Clinics with two monthly sessions on the second and fourth Wednesdays. Morning admissions run 830 to 1100, and offices close 1200 to 100 PM. Dr Edward Arnold of Canton remains diagnostician with funding from Wayne County Tuberculosis and Health Association via Christmas Seals.
