Star Mail Route Serves Dalton Windows Begin

A new Star Mail Route started serving Dalton on Tuesday with two daily trips except Sunday and one on holidays. Otis Troyer of Rt. 2 Massillon is the carrier. offices include Canal Fulton North Lawrence Dalton Kidron Mt. Eaton Wilmot Beach City Brewster Justus Navarre. Time at Dalton arrives 8:05 a.m. departs 8:15 a.m. and returns 5:30 p.m. departs 5:35 p.m.

Community Program Debate At Methodist Church

On Sunday night July 6 1947 at 8 oclock a community program will be held in the Methodist Church under the Anti-Labor League. A debate titled The Black Flag will be presented by a visiting Pro-Con Team and supported by local ministers Tom Shank and Miss Effie Gonser.

Mooney-Harms Wed in Akron First Methodist Ceremony

Miss Margery Mooney and Gerald B. Harms wed June 15 in a double ring ceremony at First Methodist Church Akron officiated by Dr John R Cheney. The bride, daughter of Mr and Mrs A W Mooney Akron, wore a satin gown with lace details and carried a white Bible. The couple plans to reside in Toledo with Harms employed by Eggleston and Son Construction Co.

Ladies Auxiliary appoints committees at VFW Post 5534 meeting

Mrs Florida Yeaman presided as Finance Publicity and Membership committees were named with Anna Weikert Betty Zaugg Jean Kaus Margaret Steiner Lena Dague Edith Erwin Ethel Woodruff Pearl Garman Jennie Kraus Gladys Weisgarber. Mrs Ross Marty joined the group. A July joint picnic with the VFW was approved. The auxiliary will staff a weekly refreshment stand at the softball field this summer and meet on the fourth Thursday each month with July 24 as the next date. Charter memberships remain open through July 24.

Rotarians Elect Dalton Club Officers for Year

Newly elected Dalton Rotary Club officers assume duty July 1 with Charles F Hazel as president George Eastman as vice president Glen Berg secretary treasurer and Billy Tyrrell sergeant at arms. Directors include George Steffen Lester Monbarren Ed S Hazel and Dr L U De Arment. The new officers took over at a Monday evening session.

Local notes record injuries and social events in Massillon area

Ray Camp fractured two ribs last week after falling from a ladder while painting his house. Mrs. Paul J. Matthey suffered a stroke Sunday morning and remains poorly. Mrs. G. L. Hawk was brought home from Massitonery hospital in Arnold's invalid car and is much improved. Wilmer Shoup and family attended the Roche- Klein wedding Friday evening at Massillon.
