Dalton Memorial Field Dedication Draws Big Local Crowd
A large crowd attended the dedication of Dalton Memorial Field on Saturday night. Don Moser introduced Rev. E W Spense for the invocation as the 36 piece high school band played the National Anthem. The event highlighted fundraising by the Community Club Rotary and VFW with a net balance of 954 49 from carnival receipts and detailed expense notes. The ceremony honored veterans and the memory of service members, with Mayor Stahl accepting the field and lights switched on. The dedicatory softball game followed, the O Kelleys beating Dalton 6 1, not reflecting on Dalton’s team efforts.

Close Call In Wooster Street Accident
Eleven year old Marcia Haney daughter of Mr and Mrs Elmer Haney ran into the path of a sedan driven east by James Chronis of Wooster. She was knocked down by the fender at Main and Mill Streets suffered scratches bruises and a slight concussion. Dr M R Baumgartner attended her and she was taken home to rest for ten days.

Dalton volunteers push city park project forward

Methodist WSCS June Meeting At Mrs LE Flauhaus Home
Twenty members gathered at the home of Mrs LE Flauhaus for the Methodist WSCS meeting with Mrs Wm Blethyn presiding and Mrs Lynd Poorman leading devotions.
