Four state engineers including Ross Shultz Floyd Felty E F Rale and Melvin R Hagen will attend a public discussion at Dalton high school auditorium next Thursday January 13. Mayor Clarence Kraus invites residents to hear the facts and ask questions before village council action. The engineers join the Dalton Community Club dinner at 6 30 p m before the public session at 8 p m.

New Postal Rates Take Effect Including Airmail and Cards
New rates begin January 1 with first class mail at three cents an ounce and penny postcards unchanged. Most other charges rise, including airmail to six cents per ounce, special delivery to 15 cents, and two cents for two ounces on unsealed greeting cards. Parcel post and registry fees also increase.
