Engineers Melvin Hagan and E F Rule propose a 24 ft lanes with medians and sidewalks, requiring substantial rights of way through Dalton. The plan would run east from Kidron road, cross the W L E railroad via viaduct, and parallel the old highway 1000 feet south with an $8 million cost and 1949 start if approved. Council defers decision to next month on three options.

Celebrate Golden Wedding of Mr and Mrs Addison Lehman
The Golden Wedding Anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Addison C Lehman of Dalton was observed at a family dinner at Riceland on Dec 21. Mr Lehman, born Dec 1 1874, is 74 and Mrs Lehman will be 72 on March 17 1849. The couple resided on a farm east of Dalton 35 years before moving into Dalton nine years ago. They have one son David and six daughters living in Dalton Orrville Mansfield Canton Willowdale Lake and elsewhere, with 11 grandchildren.
