Woman Fined For Chicken Theft Near Sugartree Ridge
Hannah Fox of Fairfax in Highland County paid $6.00 in fines and costs after pleading guilty to stealing 16 dollars worth of chickens from Bernice Carr near Sugartree Ridge. She also paid the value of the poultry. Fox claimed a boy in her household stole them, and said she sold the chickens in Mowrystown. Her husband is in prison for stealing chickens.

Ellis In Trouble In Hillsboro Ohio Car Crash
Otha Ellis alias Howard Brown of Bethel is jailed in Highland county after his car hit William Riley s machine near the Clear Creek bridge on Samantha Pike. Ellis fled into a ditch after Riley pulled in and the crash left Ellis with a head wound and his car badly damaged. He faced charges for operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated and received 90 days in jail with a six month driving ban. Riley was unharmed.
