United Appeal Expands to Five Counties in 1957 Campaign
The United Appeal starts Monday October 1 covering Clermont Boone Campbell Hamilton and Kenton counties. New Richmond Men Injured In Batavia Car Crash
William Hurtt 22 of New Richmond lost control of a car one mile south of Batavia on Davis Pike injuring himself and passenger Samuel Burgess 31 of Laurel. Hurtt faces DUI charges while Burgess was fined for public intoxication and the pair were treated at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital.

Clermont County Cuts Library and Health Board Budgets
The Clermont County Budget Commission reduced the 1957 health budget from 43 438.80 to 37 770 and denied increases for the health commissioner and staff.
