At the eighth annual Vocational Agriculture Judging Contest in Ohio on May 1 1929 Russell Livengood earned a fifth ribbon for Merino sheep and Edward Meyer a tenth ribbon for dairy cattle. Man fined in fatal Ohio shooting case
Henry Neff of Eastwood was fined 200 dollars and costs in Common Pleas Court after a gun discharged while he showed a revolver at his home killing Wanda Vanderment, 16, of Cincinnati. The Brown County Grand Jury adjourned without indicting Neff and he will be held for further investigation.

Tom Hawkins an 18 year old colored youth living with Newt Scarce was struck on Main Street by a car driven by Miss Sarah Green of Cincinnati. Former Batavian Allen P Lockwood Dies in New York
Allen P Lockwood, second son of the late A Lockwood, died at Clifton Springs Sanitorium New York on Wednesday night of last week from Brights disease after a two year illness. He was born in Batavia, later lived in Cincinnati and New York in the building material business. Survived by a widow two children and brothers Howard and Henry of New York. Funeral from Harland Kain home Hyde Park last Saturday at 2 30 PM. He was well liked by many friends in Batavia.

Funeral Rites Planned for Emma Woodward of Milford
Emma Woodward 66 Milfort Ohio died Saturday from a stroke. Funeral services were held at Episcopal Church Terrace Park Ohio. She was wife of the late Charles Woodward who died eighteen months ago. Survived by son William J Woodward and daughter Miss Sue Woodward both Milford. Sister of Milford and Joe of Marathon survive. The Woodward family once operated fine horse business at Perintown.
