The Batavia Band closed its twelve concerts last Friday night before a large crowd despite threatening weather. The ensemble, boosted by musicians from afar, performed well in new uniforms and drew many visitors to town. Double funeral for Rev Walter Gray and daughter in Florida crash
Rev Walter S Gray pastor of Wabasso M E church and his daughter Mrs Lucile Newman died from injuries after a Dixie highway crash seven miles south of New Smyrna Florida.
