The Withamsville Tobasco School PTA hosts its annual Harvest Festival on Saturday October 4 from 11 am to 6 pm at 733 Ohio Pike Withamsville. The event is the PTA’s major fundraiser of the year.
The Bethel Tate Arts Council adds Get Happy a day long children festival on Saturday Oct 25 featuring ArtReach Touring Theatre presenting Rumplestiltskin and a comedy tree overhead. The drama is supported by grants from the Ohio Arts Council Projects Pool Cincinnati Fine Arts Fund and the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.
WITHAMSVILLE The Mount Moriah United Methodist Church hosts a Fall Rummage and Bake Sale Friday from 9 am to 1 pm in the Mc Moriah Fellowship Hall at 681 ey Withamsville. Coats boots hats and household items will be available and more.
New Richmond Booster Club hosts a Sunday afternoon concert at the high school stadium featuring John Meek and the Badlands Whiskey River Band Sugarland and Nibroc. Admission 1.50 adults 1 children 12 and under. Rain date in the gym. Proceeds aid extracurriculars.
A rummage sale is scheduled for October 4 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the church located at 19 East Main Street in Amelia. Proceeds support church programs and community outreach.
Olive Branch United Methodist Church at Amelia Olive Branch Road and Old SR 74 invites all members former members and friends to Sunday September 28. A carry in dinner at 1 p m in the church dining hall. Congregational singing and music by the children s choir and the men s quartet. A display of heirloom items. Activities include touch horseshoes races children s games and parlor games. Mrs William Beck is chairman of the day.
A church celebration at the United Methodist Church is planned for Sunday September 28 in Williamsburg. The event recalls Bishop Francis Asbury preaching here in 1805 and urging continued devotion. The district will also speak and the public is invited.
Zimmer station nears completion as engineers and an outside consultant assess economics and feasibility. Officials expect a decision on approvals by February with hearings resuming in spring.
U S Rep candidates will debate Thursday afternoon moderated by Dan Dell assistant dean of Clermont College and chairman of the Clermont Chamber of Commerce educational committee. Dell argues for nuclear production while Dickhower advocates diversifying energy sources and sees coal as costly.
Clermont County moves to bring in consultants for upcoming labor negotiations across several agencies including the Head Start program in Human Services and the Clermont County Welfare Department. The Road Department and West Clermont School District are also involved as part of the county’s broader bargaining effort.
Fran Schwiermann reports the county acts on the O Bannon project with EPA officials approving immediate work. Santoro estimates cost and prepares a comparative analysis of pressure sewers and step systems. The amendment and facilities plan will be submitted to Ohio EPA for approval.
Consultants Millette and Associates of Cincinnati will study employee problems at Head Start after the director, Carol Ferrell, resigned last week. The educator coordinator since 1977 is to be replaced, with consultants charging $35 per hour. Contd on page 2.
Parish says the county must upgrade SR 28 and SR 125 and complete a north south route and other improvements to connect to Cincinnati via SR 50. He criticizes lack of action and calls for a firmer foundation to meet projected year 2000 needs.
In Milford, Exempted School Village voters approved a 6.9 mill operating levy for three years by 1926 to 1747 while a separate measure failed. Wayne Township 5 mill levy for bridges and roads lost 132 to 81 but will appear on the ballot again. Earlier, unofficial results reversed the fire levy outcome.
