A forum for U.S. Sixth District candidates to replace Rep. William Harsha will be held at Clermont College Scene. Rees Pat and the Republican candidate will participate in the event, slated for the evening session and open to the public.

Clermont County residents may attend the League of Women Voters of Clermont County Candidates Night on October 1 at 7 30 p m in the Clermont College Auditorium Batavia. Linda Woods says the event gives residents a chance to meet candidates and discuss issues.

After six years, an update will be issued on the county-owned property on Bauer Road where a medical complex is planned. The project aims to begin soon, pending approvals and funding.
County and state officials discuss the O Bannon project funding with EPA Region V to address suggested plans. The Mental Retardation unit would cost 242 278 local share plus 133 760 value of county owned property while Welfare Department wing would be county funded and rented by Welfare. The Amelia council voted to appoint Jerry Ball to replace McIntosh as police chief after four years in the job. Beach cited Ohio Revised Code sections as the basis for charges of incompetency. McIntosh faced hospital costs estimated above $5,000 and was absent from the proceedings.
