Clermont County Commissioners passed a resolution of necessity to fund the Kahle Building purchase. They issued 100000 in building notes at 3 percent interest to Provident Bank Cincinnati, allocating 96000 to buy the Batavia site for the welfare department. The rest funds remodeling and a county use on the first floor with existing rental for the second floor.

Natural Gas Delivery Set Friday At Batavia
Batavia will receive natural gas on Friday September 25 as part of a 500000 dollar CG&E gas service extension to Batavia and Williamsburg. The project extends a nine mile line from Broadwell Road and the N and W Railroad to Batavia and a further eight miles to link Williamsburg, with mains laid along State Route 32 Meadowbrook Drive Foundry Lane and many Batavia streets as more applicants sign up for gas service.

Rare Coin Burglary Suspect Held In Jail
