Adam Bauer, a retired farmer from Spring street, died Tuesday evening while among his family. He moved to town from the farm years ago with his daughter and gave up farming due to illness. Survived by several grown children. Funeral held at the United Brethren church last Thursday with burial in Union cemetery.

Clermont Officials Seek State Aid for Road Widening Plans
Judge Nichols and Prosecuting Attorney Harry Britton traveled to Columbus to discuss widening I C H 41 Cincinnati Batavia and I C H 125 Batavia Winchester in Clermont county with the State Highway Engineer. The meeting on March 26 1924 included the Board of County Commissioners and local officials. The county could not fund its share, but the state proposed setting aside 6000 from M A funds to be split 50 50 to upgrade the current 12 ft macadam by building up shoulders and maintaining them by traffic bound method. Britton and Judge Nichols would inform the department of the county's agreement.
