Goshen Voters Reject 6500 Bond and Tax Levy

Goshen school district voters rejected a 6500 bond issue and ½ mill tax levy in a special election Tuesday. The measures failed by four votes, 427 to 423, with only 850 of about 4,000 eligible voters casting ballots. Four precincts reported no votes. Passing the measures would have made the district eligible for 315,000 in state building aid.

AEC Lab May Be Built In Pike Co

Congressman William H. Harsha said Pike County Ohio won preliminary approval from the AEC for a 300 million accelerated laboratory. The site was among 85 candidates including Marietta and Ravenna and will go to the National Academy of Sciences for final review despite opposition from the governor and northern Ohio supporters.
