County eyes bridge relocation on State Rt. 222 in Clermont

Postal Employee Held For Theft at Batavia Post Office
Mrs. Florence Ward of Clepper Lane Glen Este a Batavia Post Office dispatcher was arrested Thursday charged with taking money from the mail. Postal inspector F E Driskill testified she opened envelopes removed money resealed them and mailed them on. Ward waived preliminary examination before U S Commissioner Henry Sheldon and was released on a $1000 bond.

Police ask license revocation for man in fatal accident
Batavia police chief Edward H. Colonel seeks state revocation of Glenn B. Myers's license after he backed over his 2 year old son Spikeo Myers killing him in the driveway on Browntown Arnheim Road. Coroner John R. Donohoe notes the father is partially deaf and did not hear the boy. Myers testified of a six year brain tumor and his guardian brother limits driving to when he feels well. Mayor Jamieson ordered Colonel to inform the Driver's License Division that Myers is incompetent to drive.
