Loveland Corporal Awarded Bronze Star In Korea
Corporal Raymond McDonough of Loveland received the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service in Korea. He helped lay barbed wire under enemy fire from April 15 to 22 while serving with the 40th Infantry Division's 223rd Regiment. His actions strengthened positions along the main line of resistance, inspiring comrades and preventing allied casualties. He enlisted in 1951 and is stationed in Korea this year.
