Squirrel hunter shoots companions on Williams Corner farm
Two squirrel hunters near Williams Corner were accidentally shot. Bob Pierce and Miss Mary Newberry were struck by about sixteen bullets each as Harold Kinner fired, mistaking movement for a squirrel. Pierce remained ambulatory. Newberry received treatment in Amelia and Batavia and her condition was not known Wednesday.

Curtis M. Smith filed a $25 000 personal injury suit against Chas Danbury of Williamsburg. The Common Pleas Court dismissed Monday after Judge Harry Britton sustained a motion to strike. Loys E Peart of Bethel has built a delphinium garden on West Street with about 800 plants grown from seed. He crosses varieties to create five distinct new strains and serves as a local authority on care and cultivation.
