Water level at East Fork Lake is being lowered for a new water intake to feed Clermont County water system including Afton and Ford Motor Co. plants. Boaters will have no lake access for the rest of the season, with canoe launches allowed until work ends.
Seniors and families are invited to a Glen High School meeting on September 20 at 7 30 p m led by counselor Mrs Hildegard Babbs The session covers life after high school choosing admission procedures and financial aid The note adds that additional evenings in September and October are available for those who cannot attend during the day
The Young Democrats' Club invites the public to a "Meet the Candidates Night" on Thursday September 21 from 7:30 to 10:30. All state and local candidates have been invited to speak and answer questions. Refreshments will be served and voting registration will be available for the November 7 election.

The CORVA board unanimously approved moving ahead with Clermont County Hospital expansion, clearing a hurdle in Mt Crab. The plan adds 46 beds to the current 63, adds a 7600 square foot emergency room and repurposes the third floor. The CORVA Board of Trustees will vote on September 18.
Milford Village Council votes to enact an emergency ordinance enabling a study of State Route 28 by the Department of Transportation. The action allows expedited review and planning considerations for the corridor project.
