Williamsburg Junior Woman's Club Opens New Year Meeting

The Williamsburg Junior Women's Club holds its first meeting of the year on September 15 at 8 p.m. in the Williamsburg Community Center. Hostesses are Mrs. Norman Wilson Mrs. Larry Cadwallader and Mrs. Ernest Ruffner. Officers will be installed by outgoing President Mrs. Fred Stapf and two Buckeye Girls State reporters will speak. A 1:30 a.m. fire damaged a business and an upstairs apartment at 230-238 Front Ct in New Richmond. Owner names William Jr. and Ruth Denham. Clermont County to buy Kahle Building for welfare and school

Clermont County Commissioners announce the purchase of the Kahle Building for the welfare department and a school for the retarded. Sale price $96,000 reduced from $124,000 to avoid financing limits. financed by a loan with four month take over. The building will house five welfare offices, a clerical area, two supervisors spaces, the director Wayne Oney, classrooms, a commodity room, and restrooms. Rental income from upstairs offices and storage space helps offset costs.

County Officials Pledge Support for United Appeal Drive

County Commissioners approved a resolution promising full support for the 1964 United Appeal Drive and urged county employees to boost 1963 pledges to help reach an extra $100,000. The funds would fund speech therapists caseworkers for retarded children and expand services at homes for the aged.

Attention of parents of Amelia Junior and Senior high band members is called to the band association meeting Monday Sept 14 at 8 p.m. in the high school band room.
