Clermont County Cancer Unit Divides Fund Donations
The Clermont County Unit of the American Cancer Society held its annual meeting in Batavia to close the year’s business. President Margaret Summers said each 1959 60 fund drive allocation of 2538.29 dollars benefited Clermont County and the Ohio National Division, with the latter funding research. Expenditures included drugs 1307.95 dollars and transportation 407.30 dollars.

Special Deputy Dies In Collision Near Wilmington
George C. Heybruch 51 a special deputy sheriff of Clermont County and Royal McBee service manager died from a two car crash at the Route 68 123 intersection near Wilmington. John Shoefer 33 a Royal McBee employee and passenger sustained a back fracture Nadine Edmunds 13 Mountain Ash Ky a passenger in the other car was slightly injured. Funeral services were held September 6 at Wrassman funeral home Cincinnati. He is survived by his widow Judith Ann daughter William two sisters Violet Maxine Daily Carol and brother Rudolph.

Family marks golden anniversary in Palmyra PA
Glen Este residents Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Schauer and their daughter traveled to Palmyra Pennsylvania to attend the golden anniversary celebration of Mrs. Schauer’s parents Mr. and Mrs. Abraham G. Youngsters Plan Carnival To Aid Multiple Sclerosis
Neighborhood children along Lenkenann Drive and Hoofer Hill sponsor a carnival on Saturday September 17 from 3 to 8 p m to benefit the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Volunteers from mothers and fathers organize booths prizes and rides including horses Judy and Chief with a pony ride and jitney. If weather prevents the event it moves to Sunday.

Man Suffers Bullet Wound Cleaning Gun

Legal Errors In Trial Charged In Ward Motion
At a hearing on Elva Virgil Ward's motion for a new trial the court considered legal errors in the trial and insufficiency of the evidence. Ward, 35, was convicted of second degree manslaughter and drunken driving from a June 16 crash on Buckwheat Road and Route 28 near Milford.

Motorbike Rider Dies In Accident in Batavia Area
Funeral services were held for Thomas Andrew Sherrill 17 of Elklick Road near Batavia after a Friday night crash at Rt 74 and Afton Elklick Road. The youth died from a broken neck when his motorbike was struck by John B Morris 22 of Batavia. Morris was cited for passing at an intersection and will be in county court on Sept 26. He is survived by parents Cordell and the late wife and three brothers James Jack and Michael Sherrill.
