The Lytle family reunion gathered 71 members from nearby towns and distant cities at the old Lytle home. Walter Hulick of California attended to visit relatives, sharing a reunion full of social time and a plentiful dinner. The event is the only gathering of the year, held the fires Monday in September. Separately on September 2 8 L Adamson and Mises Grace Hekart of New Richmond wed in Batavia with Rev. J F Schwab officiating and a ring ceremony. They then returned to New Richmond for a joyful reception with friends.

Sheriff Rapp Assaulted During Prisoner Escape
Saturday night Sheriff John B. Rapp and his wife heard a loud disturbance and found Elmer Hergott in a cell with a torn window. Hergott struck the sheriff with a brick as prisoners fled through the house, leaving the sheriff coatless and pursuing the suspect along the Williamsburg pike. A search began and the man was spotted near two o clock Sunday morning.

Auto Thief Captured After Cross-Country Arrest
Elmer Hergott charged with stealing two cars in New Richmond was arrested in Detroit and brought back Friday. Deputy Gallagher secured requisition papers in Columbus and returned with the prisoner. A youth cooperating with officers helped recover another automobile. The neighboring town fears a lynching as Everett Adams from Hamilton remains jailed in Batavia awaiting grand jury action.
