Homecoming at Union Chapel Plans Annual Event

Five Williams burg residents in Kentucky crash claim one life
One man, Sam Holland aged 20, died from a fractured skull and internal injuries when the auto carrying five Hill family members from Williamsburg Ohio veered into a ditch on the Richmond road near Lexington. Seven others were injured including Harry Hill 42 with head and hand cuts and Mrs Hill with possible fractured legs and internal injuries. The group was en route to Beattyville to visit relatives. two weeks earlier Hill’s stepson died in a truck collision nearby.

Rests Here. Willis M Cowen, a former Batavian, was buried here last Wednesday died in Milwaukee on Monday. He was the last of three brothers Dale O Allen T and himself prominent here for years. Henry Cowen and Mrs Kate Kerr Cowen survive. The brothers once owned The Clermont Sun sold to Lockwood & Cramer then moved west.
