Clermont 4-H Club Exhibits Highlight Fair Results
Twenty two 4-H clubs across clothing food poultry and livestock completed summer projects at the fair. About 215 members worked, with 190 new to the program, and counties winners named in clothing and food. A parade closed the event, and six members head to the State Fair for individual and team honors. Labor Day events in Batavia promote continued club activities.
Hunts Trouble Involved Check Fraud Case
R 8 Adams of Batavia is in custody after issuing a fictitious name on a $37.50 check. John Bereiaza of Glen Este lost the checks to Standard Oil. Checks drawn on the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks National Bank in Cincinnati. Mayor Larkin issued the warrant, Marshal Krantz arrested Adams in Cincinnati. Adams pled guilty and was bound over to the grand jury for $500. He is married with two children.
