Fox Hunt A Success At Clermont County Event

The Fox Hunt in Clermont county attracted many entrants despite rain. Batavia Armory hosted visitors while Reed farm near town served as central HQ with two days of hunting. Winners included Topaie and Unkswhitey in field trials, Lena and Bess in bench shows, with officers elected and next year planned in Batavia.

Burdened by illness Ohio Senator Theodore Burten Dies at 77

Theodore E Burten a long time public figure and junior senator from Ohio died in Washington at 9 53 pm after a lingering illness. He had been in ill health since December when he returned to the Senate after filling the vacancy caused by Frank B Willis death. Funeral arrangements not yet announced.

Clermont County 4 H Club Winners Earn OSU Conference Trips

Four Clermont County youths win free trips to the Ohio State University 4 H Conference October 28 to November 2. John Harvey Hutchinson and Galen Glancy will represent pig and livestock clubs, Lucille Jones and Lucille Tuttle will represent clothing and food clubs. Alternates include Florence Lauderman. All expenses paid by the County Fair Board, chaperoned by Mrs. Hazel Harris. Henry Strawhouver, Mason, buried from the Baptist church.
