The winning float will be announced during the event.
Milford Exempt Village School District voters see tentative drawings for a new Milford Junior High School. Architects Steinkamp and Nordloh present two schemes with gym lunchroom, classrooms, library, arts, shop, home economics, clinic, offices, and bus loading. Board weighs Scheme A and Scheme B for cost efficiency and ventilation concerns.
The West Clermont Board of Education and staff plan additions to six of nine district schools. Bax ter Hodell Donnelly and Preston will design projects including Brantner School with 15 classrooms and rooms, Summerside with multiple rooms, Williamsville Tabasco with 10 classrooms plus cafeteria expansion, Amelia Junior High additions, Glen Este Junior High additions, and a new elementary building with 20 to 26 classrooms plus three kindergartens. Kitchen and cafeteria remodeling at Amelia Elementary is slated to begin June 1, 1965.
Owensville mayor Ro bert B McCown announced Beggars Night will be Friday October 30 from 6 to 8 p m Residents should leave porch lights on at 6 and off at 8 to end the event The mayor urged participation from village and nearby residents and said outside visitors will be kept out Additional patrols will deter vandalism throughout the week and weekend
The Greater Amelia Businessmen's Association sponsors its annual Halloween party for children on Friday night Oct. 30. Children meet at 7:30 in front of Amelia Elementary School, parade inside for costume prizes, treats, cartoons, and films. Costume judging by local club presidents and PTA leaders.
