Clermont Votes Against Hospital Bond Amid Mixed School Results

Voters rejected a 2.1 million bond and first year levy for a hospital in Clermont. Most school measures passed, including Batavia and Milford bonds, Williamsburg additions, and fire levies, while Goshen and West Clermont faced mixed outcomes and Northeastern transfers were not counted. Several local option votes split between wet and dry in Mosco and Washington township.

Bus Project Aims to Buy Shuttle Bus in Clermont County

Amelia Clermont Sheltered Workshop seeks 2000 to fund a small shuttle bus to transport about ten persons in Goshen Milford Loveland and Butlerville regions to the workshop. Rev Donald Kelley leads the drive as Goshen Methodist Church pastor and trustee of the sponsoring Clermont County Council for Retarded Children.

Glen Este Music Group To Meet

The Glen Este Music Association will hold its regular monthly meeting November 10 at 7 30 p m in the band room. A report to the parents will cover various fundraising activities. Meetings are open to all interested in the school and its activities. Plan to attend.

Doctor Delegate To AMA Confab In Chicago

Dr. Phillips F. Greene of New Richmond will attend the American Medical Association sponsored nationwide conference on Mental Illness and Health in Chicago from November 5 to 7. He will work on rural facility planning and afterward visit his daughter in Neenah, Wisconsin, before touring the University of Wisconsin at Madison on November 14. The Greenes expect to return home November 16.

Church plans annual St. Thomas More variety show

In Withamsville the St. Thomas More Church outlines a two day variety show at Glen Este High School on May 14 and 15 with a public dance on the 15th at the church hall. Hazel Ruehl chairs the effort with Jack Wallace as co chair. Paul Abbinante writes and directs the program.

Clermont National Bank will mail Christmas Fund checks totaling 258000 to residents in Batavia Loveland Milford Mt Carmel and Williamsburg. 3700 accounts. Milford council met brief ly for 45 minutes and asked the Planning Commission to investigate the corner business at Goshen Pike Ohio 28 and Brooklyn Road to ensure it conforms with village zoning. The former Sinclair Service Station now a garage is under review for Nov 17. Insurance bid awarded to SS Gatch Agency at 2125 annually. CG&E to Build Joint Unit in Clermont County

CG&E breaks ground Friday October 30 for a $45 million electric generating unit at Walter C. Beckford Station.
