Library board appeals budget denial for funds

Juvenile Arrested For Drunk Driving In Clermont County
A 17 year old Highland County juvenile admitted drinking seven or eight beers to Batavia Police Chief Ed Colonel after he was arrested for drunken driving Monday night. The youth, who had beer from a Clermont County tavern, refused to name the bartender. The car entered Route 74 detour carelessly and stopped near the cemetery. 19 year old Lyman Hensley of Mowrystown rode beside him. After jail, the youth asked Hensley to take the car home. Deputies later reported the car struck a pole and plunged down a 20 foot embankment in Brown County near the Clermont County line. the driver fled.
