Tri County Vocational School Gaining Local Support

William s burg Ohio October 26 1967 a meeting of 35 educators heard Burl Shoemaker of the Ohio Department of Vocational Education outline plans for a vocational school serving Adams Brown and Clermont counties. The proposed center would offer 14 15 courses and reach at least 1500 juniors and seniors within a 30 minute drive from every high school center.

Dr. Albert W. Van Sickle aged 58, Clermont County Health Commissioner since 1962, resigns to become Director of Health for the City of Hamilton after a dispute over a two year contract. He served 1942 1961 as USAF medical officer and holds degrees from Colgate and the University of Rochester.

Jackson Appoints Two On Retardation Board

Judge Charles W. Jackson names Mrs. Sheddy Hondorf of Williamsburg and Gilbert R. Dale to Clermont County Board of Mental Retardation. Five more members will be chosen by county commissioners from candidates. Board to function as a board of education by November 30 and may hire an administrator. It will supervise school and workshop programs and may continue the workshop via the Clermont County Council for Retarded Children.
