Republican and Democratic candidates for State Senator and State Representative will speak at the Amelia School Auditorium on Saturday night October 22 at 8 oclock. The meeting, organized by Clermont County Farm Bureau, aims to let voters compare platforms rather than hold a debate.
Frank Coler of Milford was driving on Main street when his car hit a light pedestal. He died from a broken neck. Coroner Curtis ruled accidental death. Sheriff, deputies, and Drs. Colburn and Christopher transported him to Milford. Survived by widow and one child.
R D Gallagher Republican candidate for Clerk of Courts runs a quiet but strong campaign. He is praised for punctual efficient service and recalls his prior term knowledge of the office. If re elected he will resume work where the incumbent leaves off and is familiar with office management.
Miss Gertrude Elizabeth Wilson and Frederic J. Kramer wed at the home of Mrs. Ethel Wilson Monday Oct 17 at 8 pm. Reverend Samuel Huecker officiated before relatives. The couple sails from New York on Oct 20 aboard the 88 Bremen to Germany. Kramer will spend a year gathering material for a dissertation.
Clermont County Red Cross Chapter in Batavia reports a large shipment from Washington headquarters is en route and will include overalls underwear stockings trousers and knickers for boys. Relief committees are told to report needs to Mrs Massey and trustees are urged to act promptly.

Visitors include Ralph McAfee’s family in South Charleston and various relatives in Milford Norwood Owensville and Butler County. The Clermont and Brown County Poets Union held a fall meeting October 15 at Stephen Alke’s Ten home.
