Amelia Meeting Highlights Hayden and Miller at Farm Bureau

At Amelia last Saturday night a Farm Bureau meeting drew large crowds to the school auditorium. Republican candidates J Lowry Miller and Hayden spoke with Hayden releasing pamphlets from supporters including letters of endorsement from Columbus Farm Bureau officials. Miller praised cutting government costs, while his opponent John Hayden faced a dull opener before Miller’s contrasting address won over remaining listeners.

Fifteenth Wedding Anniversary Celebration for Taxi Briggs

Mr and Mrs Taxi Briggs marked fifteen years of marriage with a Saturday gathering featuring five tables of Five Hundred. State aid money arrived in Clermont County last Wednesday totaling 45448 dollars to cover overdue salaries for teachers and staff. An additional 3212 dollars arrived on Saturday. The funds will repay most school debts from janitors and bus drivers to the superintendent, easing financial strain and earning grateful employees.
