The annual report shows the road adding 121.92 miles with satisfactory carvings.

Death of Wm. W. Hancock in Amelia Falls from Wagon Incident
The aged Amelia farmer Wm. W. Hancock died last Friday after being thrown from a farm wagon when his mule team bolted. He sustained a deep head wound and brain concussion, never regaining consciousness. Hancock, a college graduate and former teacher, was highly esteemed, married to Harriett Brunaugh with one son. He was buried from the Baptist church on Sunday amid a large local gathering.

Milford man convicted on purveying intoxicating liquors
Charley Nold of Milford was arrested and tried for purveying intoxicating liquors. The mayor and jury found him guilty with a $70 fine and ten days in the Cincinnati workhouse. On error the Hamilton common pleas dismissed the case, costing Milford taxpayers about $50.
