John West of Willowville suffered a broken right leg below the knee last Thursday while standing in conversation at home. A rear caller drew his attention and, when he turned without moving his feet, the bones snapped. West vows to vote on election day despite the injury.

The Misses Williams of Williamaharg go as cousins of Bertha and Veata Bishop. Stanley and Tomy Halick started for Washington yesterday. Judge Halick is expected in Batavia this week. Lieut J A Penn of the US Army is home briefly on leave and will visit Chicago before returning to Philadelphia. Eph Oreburgh, former editor, now in Columbus real estate, was in town. he sent fine health and was welcomed by old friends. Dr K M Brown, formerly of Manafeld, recently graduated with high honors at Ohio Medical College, began practice in Amelia and is popular. Clermont County teachers are urged to attend and participate, to make the gathering a grand success and the best in Southern Ohio. Committees invite full preparation and strong involvement from all members.
