Kiwanis Auction Committee Plans October Sale

Anderson Hills Kiwanis Club prepares for a charity auction on Saturday October 16 at the B Ayer Auto Lot 7863 Beechmont Avenue from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. General chair Ward Lanier leads with Marg Cupcake Weichman and Carole Cookie Lanier heading the bake sale. Committee members include Ray Schricker Jack McLaughlin Bill Kerr Jack Beard Bob Simpson Otto Lieberman and Bill McConnell. Proceeds fund youth programs and the auction will offer new and used household furnishings appliances and various merchandise.

Clermont County’s per capita debt at end of 1964 was 276.03 dollars, slightly above the state average of 275.14 and well above the county low of 59.18 in Carroll and below Lake County’s 513.86. Auditor Roger Clough linked total county debt of 22,228,707 dollars to subdivisions and population of 80,530 from the 1960 census.

Batavia Association Endorses Hospital Bond Issue

The Batavia Businessmen's Association voted to endorse the hospital bond issue and operating levy to be decided at the November 2 election. Stonelick Lake Lowering To Aid Dock Construction

EDENTON The lake level at Stonelick State Park will be lowered three feet to aid the construction of new docks. Parks chief Melvin J. Rebholz says further draw downs may be needed to install a new water intake and allow substantial work before bad weather. The Capital Improvements Plan allocates $620,000 over six years to improve park facilities.

Countians To Get Priority On Loans

Clermont County residents will receive priority for small business loans through the SBDC in Cincinnati. Loans target those not qualifying via standard banks and require applicants to be in the very low income bracket or pledge to hire workers from low income groups. Two Bethel Drivers Crash Poles After High-Speed Chase

Richard R. Turner and Albert Henry Wilson collided with utility poles on S Bantam Road and near Routes 222 and 125, respectively, causing power outages. Wilson fled from deputies after a chase along Route 125 near Amelia, was treated at Brown County Hospital, and charged with drunken driving license violations and other traffic offenses.
