Batavian Rites For Civil War Veteran Randolph Rush
Randolph F. Rush aged 72 a Civil War veteran of Co D 166th O V I died from injuries after a fall and was laid to rest in Batavia Union Cemetery beside his wife. He served from enlistment in 1864, was Batavia marshal for two terms and a member of Jessee Ellis Post. He leaves two sons E S Rush of the Courier and W and T D Rush of Georgetown, and his daughter Mrs Nannie Hays Cincinnati. Funeral services were conducted by Rev E Burdsall.
